Incidentally, the unfortunate departure of its beloved founder and Chief Physician Dr Mohan Kumar, has placed the hospital in the equally able hands of his wife. Dr P. V. She retired as the Principal from Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College, Ollur, and has forty years of Teaching and Clinical experience to her credit. Post-retirement she has served as the Principal at Ahalya Ayurveda College, Palakkad and also as the Head of the Department of Pediatrics at PNNM Ayurveda College, Cheruthuruthy. Currently, her full attention is to the hospital, with her daughter Dr Smitha Mohan P.V., son Dr Shyam Mohan and daughter in law Dr Anjana Unnikrishnan, all expert Physicians.
In brief, Ayurveda supports the Loka-Purusha Samya theory. Herein lays the basic holistic approach of the Science, as a balanced existence of the Purusha (individual self) is nearly impossible without harmony in the Loka (Universe) and vice-versa.
The Sareera (body) compose of the Doshas, Dhatus and Malas. The Tridoshas namely Vata, Pitta and Kapha, are generally found in the body. Sapta- dhatus are more gross signs and correspond very tangentially to the different tissues in the body. The Malas are different excretory materials. These together account for the maintenance of health and display of disease. Combination of these elements gives rise to different body constitutions. Therefore different treatment protocols tailor-made for the individual. In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Panchabhoutika constitution (assembly of earth, water, fire, air and ether principles), the manodoshas (biological energies found in mind ) and Oushada njana ( knowledge about medicines and their preparations) are vital for providing accurate and scientific Ayurvedic cure.
Over the years, we have realized the tremendous potential of Ayurveda, and it’s the power to cure various diseases. Our vision is to extend our services to the whole of India, by establishing the region-wise treatment centers run by our expert Physicians, and well-trained therapists. We strive to provide a healing and nurturing environment for our patients and guide them along the right path to discover wellness.
“Sarve Santhu Niramaya”
The health of an individual lies singularly in the collective health of the society in which he is a part. The word ‘Niramaya’ signifies ‘Absolute health’ and not the mere absence of disease. It is inclusive of every aspect of health manifest through physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being. We, at Vinayaka, dedicatedly move as one towards this sacred concept of Global health and Prosperity. Our mission is to provide a holistic wellness solution that heals and helps people to live long, healthy and productive lives.
